An eagletalker's daughter took these pictures of damage in Hattiesburg before heading to Memphis yesterday.

Serious damage done to areas of campus. The Green House has what appears to be a large hole in the roof. A large window of the Library is gone. All the trees at St. Thomas Catholic church are gone. Part of the upper floor of the Crescent City Grill/Purple Parrot/et all has collapsed. Part of the Honors House (in the back) was crushed by a tree. Shelby's paint store (Southern Diversified Products or whatever it was called) sustained serious damage. A large pine tree is now laying in Lake Byron, but the white bridge is still in pristine shape. A car was crushed by a utility pole in the parking lot on 4th street across from McCarty Hall and the football practice field. Practice field almost completely covered in downed trees.

Lots of damage but in comparison to New Orleans and the coast, it looks positively fabulous.  Thanks for the photos.
