I've read several postings on this site about how Thames has virtually ignored fundraising during his time in office.  Well the real story, if you care to find out about it, is that he has actually worked to sabotage the fundraising efforts of some since he took over in 2002.  Shelby Thames has actively thwarted fundraising on several instances in the past.

I know this because my boss told me several stories about it.  My boss is an Ole Miss grad, so I think I detect some satisfaction in his tone when he tells me these things.  Thames once spoke that "his crowd" didn't get anything from private fundraising.  Although I don't fully understand what that statement means, it doesn't sound good for your school.
