Just heard through the fraternity grapevine that the Cox-Purvis Report is now defunct. Apparently, the guy who was going to USM flunked out of Summer I and the JCJC guy quit school and is going to work offshore. I am waiting on a call from the former editor(s) to clarify the situation.
I had an email from one of the former CPR editors this morning. She says that the new CPR team has indeed gotten waylaid by grades. They are currently looking for a replacement team but it may take some time. More when I hear it. Gotta go to work--the pool opens at 6am. Maybe I'll have another email when I get off work this afternoon.
The news about the new CPR editorial staff is true. The old staff is currently contacting backup CPR editors to take over posting duties. Since there are no athletic activities going on right now, they have some time to get replacements and get everyone up to speed before the fall semester starts. However, she told me they want to move quickly since there may be a story or two to report later this summer (read: Raines).
Did anybody hear a WDAM report about a Michigan State quarterback reported to have some scrapes with the law and is transferring to USM?
Yes, his name is Stephen Reaves. His father is former University of Florida QB John Reaves. He was charged with DUI in early May while still in East Lansing.
