Seems taxpayers and students are having to pay for the disaster Shelby created when he tried to fire Glamser and Stringer...I.E.: the $457,000 pricetag
The quote attributed to Bonnie Drews is critically important:
"Wow. That's something way out of my sphere of information and I doubt if very many alumni are in that loop either," she said. "I doubt if very many people at all know about this."
This is the point! If the board, the dwindling supporters, the foundation, and the public would understand what so many respected faculty members have been trying to say for three years, these groups would understand that they have been deceived. The deceipt is not just about this issue; this is just one example.

And, unless I'm incorrect, wasn't Ms. Drews one of the organizers of the Paving Company Putsch? I seem to recall her name in context with that great off-campus meeting.
Yes, it's the same Bonnie Drews who organized the Coca-Cola Cabal (later changed to the Paving Company Putsch). The same one who hates the liberal arts. And the same one who insisted that people oppose Shelby Thames because they aren't aware of his positive accomplishments.
At the risk of being unpopular here, this is a perfect opportunity to offer a graceful exit to former Shelby supporters. This approach has worked before. You were lied to, you didn't have all the facts, now you do, better late than never, welcome.

Good point!
As long as they publicly state that they didn't know all of the facts, and/or they were lied to by Thames and his PR machine.
That would rule out the trolls on this board who claim they don't support Thames but keep spouting the Thamesian line regardless.
