Just perusing the HA yesterday. Even when there's no headline above the front page fold about SACS and USM's mission statement problem, there's plenty of stuff that make USM look bad.
Yesterday there's the Eustachy article where he keeps baiting Ole Miss and State to play USM. It's becoming tiring to hear LE's trap yapping about stuff, although his psycho babble was fun at first. This is now about as old as Giannini saying "Citizens of Hattiesburg, you suck" as he did several times last year.
There's the small article about Crofts pulling Eustachy's contract because there was "misinformation" in the submission from Thames. This seems like a deal worth pursuing, perhaps through FOIA. I find it very intriguing, what did Crofts see with this deal that warranted pulling it from the agenda?
I think this was discussed on another thread, but could it be a part of the great conspiracy theory? If Giannini is the head of athletics, cut the head off athletics and the body will die. If alums view athletics as the head of the university, you cut the head off and wait for the weakened body to die.
