Rather than vote with the other 11 board members to increase tuition, Klumb decided to miss the IHL meeting today.
"Tuition will go up this fall at all Miss. universities"
"...College Board member Roy Klumb of Gulfport, who has consistently said he would oppose any tuition increase, wasn't present at today's meeting or the board's gathering on Wednesday at the Education and Research Center in Jackson."
This wouldn't the first time that Roy Klumb has failed to come to terms with reality.
The tuition increases are inadequate. The Board may still think that the legislature will send more money its way if it contains tuition increases, but that is a doubtful prospect.
Wouldn't it be nice if Klumb stays away from all future Board meetings until his term expires?
