For a long time I've worked really hard to be helpful and nice to people, especially to new people who come to this board. Well, except for losing it last night when I threw a plate at "Correction" (a metaphorical plate, of course.) "Correction" was most civil in responding, and graciously swept up the debris!

I've seen every new poster as a PR/education possibility. I've made allowances for youth and ignorance. In recent days, however, I've begun to realize that it's taking more effort and energy than I have to spare.

I don't mind disagreement, I love good debate. But it's pointless to keep arguing with some of these people (like KK and Son of Bubba).

Folks, the answers to your questions are readily available. Like 3rd W. said, the FacSen letter about says it all. The transcripts of the GS hearing are available. The entire FireShelby thread is available. There are 37,000 something posts on this board alone. USM Sympathizer has heroically tried to organize them for us. Babbs does her best to keep the tally of the departed. Tons of good stuff is here for the reading. Quit asking us to do your homework for you.

If you want to debate, welcome aboard. Have some facts and reasons at your disposal. If you're here to spread hate and discontent, well, you have a nice day. I'll answer once or twice, but my days of arguing (teaching pigs to sing as some call it) are now officially over.

I urge the rest of you to think about doing likewise. They get an initial serious response, and after that we let 'em alone. Serious inquirers, like Seeker, will prove themselves to be serious. Others will prove themselves to be trolls. Trolls starve to death easily. (Metaphorical death.)
