I'm at a conference, where one of the other attendees is from a college in Mississippi.  I asked him, in the midst of a larger group, if he had heard of what is happening at USM.  It turns out that several people had heard, and all were appalled.  Comparisons of Shelby to Captain Queeg were made (not by me, although I of course agreed).  The person from MS could not understand why the IHL hadn't gotten rid of Thames long ago.  Everyone else who heard tonight about what was happening at USM could not believe it.
