The CoB Advisory Council harbors many local business hacks who are rabidly anti-faculty. Among these are Brad Brian (Coca-Cola, Mike Anderson Seafood) and Robert 'Toy' McLaughlin (Inverness Asset Management). Others I'm sure that have been involved are Bob Mixon (Courtesy Ford) and other members of the Warren Paving cabal.
Should Doty call these people out at a board meeting? After reading McLaughlin's post on EagleTalk I don't see how he can't.
I met with the Inverness folks several years ago when I had to invest a serious amount of inherited money. Sure am glad I didn't go with them, it would be a major pain to change everything. Which is exactly what I would be doing today. Sheesh. This makes me want to throw up.
