This evening on WDAM a local official "could" of been talking about the situation at USM. Mayoral candidate Councilwoman Betsy Rowell was interviewed about the recent commercial on TV indicating her first act if elected mayor will be to fire the police chief. This is related to recent comments in the HA, that the police department's high turnover rate is indicative of a need to re-evaluate the department's leadership. The WDAM interview indicated that any manager that loses 20% of their employees needs to have their leadership abilities re evaluated..........Makes one think that if statements like this are being made about Hattiesburg city politics the city, extended Pine Belt community and state (as well as IHL) NEED to look at what's happening at USM and the NEED to evaluate SFT leadership.

Excellent point, Green Hornet. But remember you are being logical. Until recently that seemed to be in short supply at the IHL.

The loss of faculty under Thames exceeds 30%. That certainly suggests a major problem in leadership.
The WDAM interview was reshown this morning at 6:30a.m. Someone may wish to check the 12:00 news and I suspect the HA may run a story, so I'll keep an eye out.
