So, the endowment of the Coggin College of Business at UNF ($23 mill) is about 2/3 the size of USM's total endowment ($35 mill). That's very interesting. Many of you have wondered by SFT hasn't put energy toward an endowment for the U overall.
The benefits of an endowment are largely future-oriented. The benefits from grants and contracts are now-oriented. That should clear it up (i.e., he and his friends aren't future-here people).
What happened to the first group of candidates? They had 5/4 finalists, Doty wasn't there, and they were scheduling visits. What's up?
Now they are in an abbreviated, secondary placement situation?
He leaves tomorrow, till Monday it looks like. I noticed the other candidate writes in a less formal way to the search chair.
What is the story on this? Has Doty been forced to seek another job by thames, is this a result of his seeing this administration's incompetence, or a combination of both?
