The Sunday article in the Hattiesburg American titled "Unity needed to address USM problems" was a good article. It did not come off as petty and there was no insulting in it. I think if more articles or opinions were expressed in this manner, the public would not take it so badly or get annoyed so easily.
" . . . . . the College Board and Thames must take the lead in making this happen. If he can't do this, the College Board needs to shake off its mantle of stagnant leadership and intervene publicly."
My favorite: "nearly $70 million of tax money goes to the school annually, and that means the public has a right to know what's being done to protect their investment."
I wonder if it would be possible to get the HA's permission to post this editorial somewhere permanently, so that we do not lose it when the link disappears (as I assume it eventually will).
