Does anyone know if it was the organizing group of 10 or the attending group of 180 that determined this?

"Mixon also spoke after the meeting and said the group agreed no one but him would speak to journalists."

Also, I find this quote interesting. Wasn't Bob Mixon Shelby's favored candidate for the IHL last year?

"Mixon said people in the business community realize they cannot make changes at USM because that's the job of the administration and the state College Board. But he believes they can influence those decisions."

Forgive me of my ignorance, but isnt Bobby Mixon a car salesman for Toyota or Petro or something?

If so, why is everybody so concerned with what a crooked car salesman has to say?

Bob Mixon owns Courtesy Ford - supplier of vehicles to USM. Bobby Mixon may be a salesman at Toyota, but he's not the spokesman for the bidness group.

Mixon owns Courtesy Ford and serves on several state-wide boards/committees. One recent thing he was involved in was trying to prevent the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians from buying a Ford dealership because he said it would not be fair to other car dealers since federally-recognized Indian groups do not pay state taxes. The MBCI replied that they will do whatever is necessary and legal to improve their economic standing.

Then that directly contradicts his statement as quoted in the SH.
