This doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement of Shelby, or am I missing something?

“I think there has to be a meeting where decisions are made that are binding and the only ones to do that are the College Board,” Mixon said. “I would hope that they will clarify their position on what they think the role of a president is, that they would clarify their position on the faculty’s dissension with the administration.”

Actually, I pretty much agree with this.

Judging from the two eyewitness reports from the meeting (which I just got caught up on), what Mixon is telling the press is just the cover story.

It really does look like the same local movers and shakers who ran Fleming off and got their guy Thames "coronated" are desperate to preserve their guy's grip on power.

I think Mixon's the guy who cried tears of joy (seriously) at shelby's "coronation." Amazing.
