I look for the list to grow longer right before school starts...many looking for jobs now will find alternative employment as other schools hustle to fill their positions before August.
I imagine that the list will grow - given the UAC's unusually high heavy volume of turning people down for tenure/promotion (at assoc. and full levels). In a thameshell, no one gets through unless you kiss a lot of absolutely thames-serving rhetoric.
Rip Scherer is listed on this thread as "situation pending." The official website of the Cleveland Browns has announced that Scherer has been named their new quarterback coach. Whoever maintains this information for the message board may wish to make note of that. A previous thread addressed this.

Back in the "old days" this committee was composed of the chairs of the Dean's Advisory Committees for all the USM Colleges. Of course, that was before "nine were combined into five" so these days, it may be a mystery as to who are the members of the University Advisory Committee. It's been YEARS since there was a published "USM Committees" booklet circulated to faculty.
I held a faculty position in the library briefly during 2004 (May-December) as Curator, Manuscripts and Archives. I resigned it to take a faculty position in the library at University of Memphis.
I hope Southern Miss manages to work out some of its present difficulties.
