The “Babe” of the Day is one of America’s top public universities – Miami University of Ohio!

From the Miami University of Ohio website:
“What Others are Saying....
• The 2005 U.S. News & World Report college rankings lists Miami among the top 25 public universities in the nation based on academic quality.
• The Fiske Guide to Colleges 2005 awarded Miami 4.5 stars for academics (out of a possible five-star ranking), praising Miami as a ‘rising star among state universities.’”

Babe, like bimbo, is often considered demeaning. Pictures of "babes" appear in Playboy, Hustler, and on calendars. Babes are considered to be attractive. Somebody thought it might be good to post the website of an "attractive" university each day. Thus, "Babe of the Day." I hope my explanation is correct. Maybe somebody else wants to clarify it.

Cinderella,

Calendar Girl is correct. You may read my original post (currently on page 3 of the message board) should you so desire.

Okay, this question has come up twice now in two days, so might I make a suggestion?  Since this started with the discussion of "ideals" in a male-female sense, and it's "transmogrified" to "academic ideals", then:

How about changing "Babe" of the Day to

"Ideal" of the Day?

My take on all this is that people only need to be told once, and pretty soon the regular posters here will know about it.
