Tonight, the Eagles travel to Cincy to face the Bearcats before a national TV audience on ESPN2 at 7 tonight. Reporters here at C-P are urging readers to consider putting young children off to bed early tonight (or at least in their rooms doing homework). If your pre-teens choose to watch, watch it with them. The Eagles have "phone in" blowout games earlier this year. This could be a good opportunity to teach kids about leadership.
I watched the USM-Louisville game with my three-year-old, and it was so traumatic for us both that we've had to seek counseling. My son has nightmares that the counselor says stem from watching that on-court beating, and the counselor has stated that my son may never be able to play college or professional basketball because of it. I am considering suing ESPN, USM, and Eustachy for the effect that USM's faulty product has had on my son.
