Scroll to the bottom of this Sun Herald webpage and check out the last article called "Too many counties, school districts, and superintendents." I am wondering what the differences are in responsibilities between the states that have one superintendent and Mississippi, which has many? There must be some, but I still imagine alot of money would be saved over the years if the Gov. cut some of these positions like he did with others recently.
