Let's do hope that is the reason. That would be much preferred to his going there to present, to unsuspecting faculty members, an embedded or unintrusive question designed to justify a "no confidence" sentiment for the current COB administration that could be taken back to the dome.

Since visiting people out of concern for their welfare is apparently out of character for this guy, I would not bet on too many smiley faces. My guess is he was checking on where the arse-kissers were, and how reliable they would be.
