Having read the posts recently I believe that SCM, Invictus and Amy are right. Not only is the plane unexplained but many other things are being coverd up. Just recently someone posted questioning SFT and his paint company. SFT was supposed to key word supposed to, give up all interest in his paint co. when he became President under the laws of MS and MURA. However, there is proof he did not. Seek and thee shall find. A very, very informed person in the Dome told me this. This very same person also told me that SFT was trying to get the legislature to give preference to his paint and that USM paid the bill to get it done.
If this person is right, this s*x! Why we cannot get information like this to the public is beyond me!
The sidebar to Kevin Walters' most recent article in the Hat Am (the one in which Thames declared that he was "having fun" and "communicating") mentioned both the plane and the fate of a bill designed to favor the company that Thames "supposedly" no longer owns.
If Thames has not sold his interest in the company (or put it in a blind trust--I don't know what's required to comply with the Mississippi law) when he said that he did, that's an extremely serious matter.
at one point shelby owned the building on hardy st that housed the paint company....that is a matter of public record and easily traceable at the courthouse
he may have "sold" the building, but he owned the building when he was not prez of usm but was prez of paint company
