You may be interested in the Guest Editorial in today's Hattiesburg American by Interim Commissioner Richard Crofts.  The title is "Education must be affordable", however, just like Amy Young's editorial, it isn't on the online edition.  They have the same picture of him that was used with Robert's letter.  Do you think they have Robert's suggestion in mind and may be preparing the public for our new leadership? (I know, wishful dreaming.)

"Recent editorials from around the state harken (Sic) us back to the days when public higher education was clearly understood and supported as a public good."....


"The concept of higher education as a public good is in retreat."...


"Current fiscal realities in the state of Mississippi make turning this situation around especially challenging."

I'm puzzled.


Why are they leaving Crofts op-ed out of the online edition?


He doesn't appear to be saying anything that would annoy the Board or point the finger at SFT.

they typically only put the HA's oped and letters to the editor. there are other oped pieces that are also left out of the online edition. remember, the online edition is put together out of state. i don't know if the HA gives that staff much direction on what to include or not to include. the Croft piece was in the CL a week earlier.

Robert, Stinky Cheese Man is right.   They don't always put Oped online for some reason. When Robert speculated about what was going on at H.A. because Amy's piece wasn't on line I meant to mentioned this , but forgot.

I didn't realize that the Hat Am's online edition wasn't produced locally.

That makes a decision not to run op-eds in the online edition look a little different.
