The Clarion Ledger has this story, same one we've seen before. I am nevertheless pleased that the Clarion Ledger is running this because it shows again how ridiculous Shelby Thames looks having fun on SACS probation.
I literally spent half my work day yesterday on SACS compliance materials. I had several other meetings this past week. We are facing incredible deadlines. Many, like me, have never done this before and so the learning curve means even more of our time will be devoted to this and not so much to research or grants and contracts (nobody is going to drop the ball on their classes). There are many of us on these committees who are laboring to get us straight with SACS while Thames has fun. If this is not sending a clear message to the IHL board about leadership at USM, I don't know what else will.
