Is it possible that we can all contribute or raise the money to take out a one day full page add in the Clarion Ledger which resembles a ballot showing a vote of "No confidence" in Shelboo?
The ad will not cost much but will get alot of attention.

Go with it! But give us all the opportunity to help defray the cost.
I like the idea of running the one-page ad, but I don't think we should use the Faculty Senate letter as the copy. Frankly, the general public and the IHL are no doubt numb to any messages from the faculty at this point. It just "is what it is."
A more effective approach might be to write a simple message about our sadness and concern over the Thames administration, point out a number of specific, Thames-related issues, and then ask for a Thames resignation/IHL termination and/or the immediate replacement search. The tone needs to be calm, but firm. Ideally, it could include -- in small print -- the names of as many non-faculty as possible (students, alumni, parents, others). If including the names is not practical/possible, we should form some sort of informal, grass-roots organization like "Concerned USM Supporters" or something, then include a link to a website where the various names could be listed -- not unlike the old online petition.
I cannot do it I do not have tenure and as a staffer I would get fired. I think that Amy Young would be a good person with the backing of our AAUP chapter.
