Experience should include: air transport Pilot License Multiengine, 5000 hour total time, 3000 hours multiengine time, 1800 turbine powered PIC and must possess a current class 2 medical.

Does anybody know any details about the plane? What kind of plane (sounds like a twin engine)? How long has USM had it? HOW MUCH DID IT COST?

So far no one knows.  Speculation goes from a lease to a donation.  Some guess that the foundation is paying for everything.

as i said on another thread. the plane is a revenue producer. ever seen those planes on the beach in florida. ours will tow advertising behind it--circling athletic and other events. "Letha's barbecue." "Eat at Joe's Crab Shack." "For poodle grooming see . . . "

Perhaps we could also provide banners for "Ling's Asian Massage Parlor," "American Pride Paint," and "Noetic: Your Tax Dollars Making Our Lives Richer."

I would seriously doubt that it is the only impetus; however, I have heard from a source in the athletic department that the plane will be used in part to help with transportation for athletics recruiting.
