I've heard it said that the USM library has been unable to buy books this fiscal year. Can someone verify that? Are the other state universities in the same situation?

Maybe funding library books can become a pet project for Mrs. SFT. I read where former LSU chancellor Mark Emmert's wife had a pet project-- raising funds for a new home for Mike the Tiger-- a $3 million, 15,000 square-foot habitat complete with a waterfall, Live oaks, and an Italianate tower.
