I was wondering when old Dr. Scarborough would step up again.  Thanks for an excellent letter.  It's turning out that most of the holidays did get covered with letters and articles about the USM situation, as many board members hoped.  I still wish more students, alumni and citizens would write.  Even if they support SFT, it would be beneficial if they write.  Most of the letters of supporter actually increase the opposition to Thames.

P.S. Bill, I was just joking about the "OLD".

Bill's advocacy for academic freedom and integrity goes all the way back to the McCain era. He has consistently spoken up on important issues.

A superb letter; I urge everyone on the board to copy this and all such letters to the IHL; here's the address:

ssharpe@ihl.state.ms.us

Defense of Dr. Young, highlighting the out-of-proportion emphasis on economic development and polymer science, keeping the SACS probation issue in the forefront and wrapping up with the overwhelming evidence that this is a failed presidency - an extremely well-written letter that should be circulated widely to IHL board members, legislators, and other influential individuals.

While we're at it, Robert Campbell's most recent Liberty and Power blog entry should be sent as well.
