Nope. Not quite right. And a very serious error in reporting at that. Gary and Frank were not "fired," despite the administration's feeble attempt to do that: This sentence from the article iis totally incorrect: 'Frank Glamser talks to his fellow USM faculty members after he and Gary Stringer were fired."
Very carelesss reporting about such a serious matter. Must be something in the water down there (aside from the sewage dumping out into the Gulf).

But the public needed to be reminded again about some of the terrible goings on in Hattiesburg during that period. In that sense, the article was a good one. Everyone needed to be reminded of the dastardly unsubstantated innuendos such as this sentence in the article: "Thames, though, said the two may have committed "violations of criminal law" in their investigation of her."

Let's also not forget that, while the terms of the agreement between FG, GS & USM prohibit any party from making negative public statements about the other -- for example, FG & GS cannot criticize the administration of USM in public and SFT can't call them felons any more -- within days of the hearing, our beloved RK was on WLOX news calling the professors "criminals."
In my mind RK voided that agreement on television the same week of the hearing & I'm completely amazed that USM isn't back in court. The only explanation I have is that FG & GS didn't care to waste years of their lives dragging USM farther down than SFT already has succeeded in doing.
The only terms of the agreement that USM/IHL have honored is the pay-off.
