"....the plan reflected the input of focus groups held by a predecessor in November 2003 and that she has distributed it to faculty through the deans and vice presidents.
"I went to the focus group but I didn't know anything about the strategic plan," said biology professor David Beckett. "I would think as president of the Faculty Senate I would."
Exline said she gave the plan to the deans in November.
"I was at one of those focus groups, and I find it extremely ironic that a main topic of conversation was the failure of communication from the administration," said English professor Anne Wallace.
...The perceived communication gap will keep some colleagues from volunteering for teams being set up to work on accreditation, said Dave Duhon, managing and marketing associate professor.
"I don't think we're going to have a lot of faculty jumping to volunteer because their previous experience wasn't fruitful," he said.
