I appreciate the sentiment of the black & gold scheme for the board, but the stripes are uncomfortable to look at.

Diagonal stripes are hard on the sensory system. Vertical stripes would be better if you want stripes.

Thinking back 3 or 4 years, how lovely is it that the top post on this board concerns the direction of stripes on the web page? Does my heart good.

I thought of that when I was posting my comment -- how great that this is all I have to say on this board today! Thanks for making the point explicitly.

Tomorrow is Dr. Saunders' inauguration. Wish you could be here for it.

I get the feeling that its been a good year in H'burg for everyone involved. And yes, what a wonderful change it is to be discussing stripes and not the n.s.t.

Hi LVN and Patti,

Yes, I heard the inauguration is today. Apparently the festivities yesterday were very well attended and lots of good food on the lawn.

What I see so far (from a distance) gives me lots of hope for USM under President Saunders' leadership. It is wonderful that the long nightmare has ended!
