M.S.: Well, I know that you're tired of hearing "build trust, build a team, build a campus," but right now building trust is still very, very important. Right now, I think a lot of tensions are melting away. I think it's really important that I make sure our processes are really clear. We are covering things, little things, and but we want to be sure on how the budgets are awarded. We are looking at models so the deans know up front how we are going to get our money and how we are going to handle faculty searches, those kinds of things. I think a lot of it is just taking a look at our processes and making absolutely sure that we have everything in place. Building a team is important and I'm already doing that, and I'm really pleased with the hires we've made. We are hiring a new provost, a vice president for advancement, and we've got dean searches out. We've got a lot of searches out, but our interims are really strong and doing the job. I'm not feeling terribly pressured there, but we really have to get the right team in place."
Does anyone know if the rumor is true that the Executive Editor of the Printz got her own "golf cart?" for going around campus? I hope it isn't, because I don't know of any Professors with golf carts.
If the editor of the Printz should have a golf cart then surely the professors deserve one... I don't know why a Professor would want a golf cart, but They should get one before a student should.

Frankly, if this is the most horror that we have to worry about, I am personally not going to raise a finger. Not when comparing this "issue" to anything from the previous 5 years. Come on!
And have no desks, so everything for every class is lugged everywhere. And while we are young at heart, our feet are not.
Hey, my first year teaching public schools, we who had no desks were given shopping carts. This prepared us for our future career as homeless people, which is about what we were paid...

So you're telling me that not only is the salary still pitiful, now I don't even get a shoppin' cart?

I think the assistant principal stole the shopping carts from Delchamps...
