This sentence appears in Rick Cleveland's column in this morning's (Saturday, November 6)Clarion-Ledger:
"USM, far and away the largest economic provider for Hattiesburg and the Pine Belt Region, long has been taken for granted, almost as if it were an unwanted stepchild out there on the western end of Hardy Street."
So what do you think, message board posters: is it the city of Hattiesburg that takes USM for granted as if it were an unwanted stepchild out there on the western end of Hardy Street, or is it the IHL?
Don't take Ricky Cleveland very seriously. Although his dad, Ace, was once USM Sports Information Director, Ricky has always resented the hell out of the fact that he had to attend USM instead of Ole Miss.
