WHAT:                       Mississippi Blue Ribbon Committee for the Redesign of Teacher Preparation (BRC) Town Hall Meeting

WHEN:                       Thursday, August 23, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

WHERE:                     William Carey University, Kresge Room, Thomas Business Building,
                                    498 Tuscan  Avenue, Hattiesburg, MS

 

WHY:                          The BRC was convened in November 2006 to increase the quality and quantity of teachers in Mississippi by improving teacher preparation and recruitment programs in the state.  After extensive research and evaluation, the BRC has identified a number of recommended changes to Mississippis teacher education programs. The BRC will be hosting Town Hall Meetings throughout the state to share information about the preliminary recommendations and to solicit feedback on the recommendations.
