Professor injured in bike accident

What was supposed to be another blissful Sunday biking on the Longleaf Trace turned into an extended hospital stay for a local professor - and his wife said Monday the ordeal could have been easily avoided....

... John Harsh ... a University of Southern Mississippi psychology professor, is still in a lot of pain and is expected to remain in the hospital at least another couple of days, ...

This has long been a problem at the trace.  Last weekend I was there with my family and there was a children's biking group that was out with very little supervision.  One kid was riding his bike in the middle of the path while keying in a text message.  An oncoming biker had to yell at the kid to get him to move so that a collision could be averted.
