AS OF RIGHT NOW THIS BOARD IS ONCE AGAIN REQUIRING REGISTRATION TO POST.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT TO COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION, YOU MUST OPEN THE EMAIL YOU RECEIVE FROM ACTIVEBOARD.  IF YOU WANT TO BE ANONYMOUS YOU CAN CREATE A NEW EMAIL ACCOUNT AND REGISTER WITH IT.

Maybe it's time for us to talk about how much longer this board needs to be maintained. It might be time for somebody to start a new board with a different purpose. I suggest we keep this one up until the end of June (just to pull an arbitrary date out of the air.)

Maybe it's because people who use message boards understand that it's ops normal, and people who don't are too scared to post.

BTW, it's an automatic function of boards (of course you know that) that the moderators don't have control over.

Also btw, I had a nice chat with my son the systems security analyst (or whatever he is any more. I just know he flies a lot and works for a Really Big computer security outfit.) He laughed when I told him about the "constraints" recently imposed on this board regarding people's names and the perceptions of threats/non-threats/polite requests and all that stuff. His take on it was that it was ridiculous and non-enforceable and should have been ignored.
