My son called this week to tell me that there was a lot of smoke near the University of Southern Mississippi. It was a controlled burn, we learned later. I'm embarrassed to say that I just assumed that the USM faculty had staged a preemptive strike on the "preferred candidate" and burned her at the stake. I was pleasantly surprised to discover my error later....

Unfortunately this has given our new president a look at what she will have to deal with in the way of Dr. Thame's supporters.  Nothing is harder to deal with than incoherent people.

Townsend should stick to dosemitry, whatever the hell that is.  He clearly does not have a clue what he is talking about.  But that is what makes the world the confusing place that it is.

dosemetry= nurse in a radiology lab. Doesn't require a four year degree.
