My best to all USM folks in Hattiesburg and on the Coast--and to all those commuters who reside in all areas of the southern part of the state. It's going to get rough in the Hub area...I hope you have all stocked up on water and essentials, and ride this thing out OK.

Old Girl was here for Carmile and helped the red cross for a week afterwards. I never want to see that again. That was a storm. You young wippersnappers call this a storm. Ha! Now when I was your age.... boy, I could tell you some thinhgs about storms, but I have to get back to my guest and the hurricane party.
Amen, Old Girl. Been there done that. I lived almost on the beach at Biloxi in Aug. 1969. Then we lived in the barracks, then in somebody's spare bedroom, then finally in a trailer on base at Keesler. I really am concerned that people may not take this seriously. Am I having a bit of an anxiety attack? You betcha.
But Fire Shelby, it was good to see your name pop up! Hope all is well with you.

I think people are taking this very seriously judging from the traffic on 49 and 98. Yesterday the trip from Gulfport to Hattiesburg was taking 4 hours. Mobile to Hattiesburg was the same late in the day. Motels as far north as Grenada are full.
