According to the Boston Globe, Harvard will announce a woman historian, Drew Gilpin Faust, as its new president.
Dartmouth also has a historian president. But I'm sure that Ivy League institutions have no idea what they are doing in promoting the Humanities and Liberal Arts. <sarcasm>
While I think it is lovely that a Southerner and a woman has been named as the new president of Harvard, I did think that Mothers of Invention made Confederate women seem whiney and she did give them a little bit too much credit for the fall of the Confederacy. Just my opinion.
